Many vision and eye health problems can be prevented or reduced by detecting and treating them early and through teaching vision and eye health. Integrating basic eye care into primary health settings supports access to essential eye care services, even in areas with limited resources.
Course
The TAP Eye and vision care course teaches how to identify and refer adults and children who have eye and vision problems. It uses eye care guides to provide recommendations on how to treat some eye problems at the primary health care level.

The TAP Primary eye care course includes an introduction module on primary eye care screening followed by Managing vision and eye health problems and Promoting good vision and eye health. Promoting good vision and eye health can also be used as a standalone module.
