In some countries only 3% of people have access to essential assistive products like hearing aids, walking sticks and near vision spectacles. Many assistive products can be provided at the primary care level. Providing assistive products can prevent health complications and increase independence for people who need them.
Course
The TAP Assistive technology course teaches how to identify, refer and provide a range of assistive products. To safely and effectively provide assistive products there are four steps:

Adjust and fit the product to suit the person.

Teach the person how to use and take care of the product.

Review the person’s needs, maintain and repair the product.
ሞጁሎች
The TAP Assistive technology course includes modules on cognition, communication, vision, hearing, self care, mobility and emergencies. Each of these have an introduction module and product specific modules.
