Replacing underarm pads

If underarm pads are worn out, crutches become very uncomfortable to use.

  1. Take the underarm pad off the crutch, pulling the pad off of one end at a time.
  2. Put a new pad on, placing it over one end of the crutch and stretch across to the other end.

  1. If there is a screw holding hand grip in place, undo this.
  2. Pull the padding off and replace with a new one.

Tightening or replacing screws

If any screws are loose, tighten them if you can. If the screw head is worn, replace the screw.

Adjusting rollator brakes

Brakes can usually be adjusted by tightening or loosening nuts at located near the back wheels or the handles, depending on the rollator.

Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions if you are not sure.
