Where the walking aid will be used
Some walking aids are difficult to use in certain environments.

Elbow crutches, axilla crutches and single point walking sticks can be used on stairs, sandy and uneven ground.

Walking frames, rollators and posterior walkers cannot be used on stairs.

Rollators and posterior walkers are likely to get stuck in sandy ground.

Walking frames, tripod and quadripod walking sticks are unstable on uneven ground.

Explain to Cali that she will be safer with a walking frame; however walking frames cannot be easily used on stairs.
Discuss with Cali and her family some options such as:
- Installing a ramp
- Providing assistance when Cali uses the stairs (rather than the walking aid)
