There are different methods and tests used for vision screening.
The TAP vision screen is a simple process to find out if a child or adult has an eye health problem and/or difficulty seeing.
The TAP vision screen results help identify whether a person:
- Should be referred to an eye health professional or medical doctor for assessment
- Should be referred for prescription glasses (not included in TAP)
- May benefit from vision assistive products that are included in TAP
The TAP vision screen includes:
- Simple eye health check
- Simple distance vision test
- Simple near vision test
Note: The TAP vision screen is not a full vision assessment. Always refer to an eye health professional or doctor if this is indicated by the vision screen results, or if you have any concerns at all.
If you haven’t already, download the TAP vision screen form and print a copy.
If you are unable to download the form, don’t worry. Each of the questions on the form are clearly shown as you go through the module.
