Difficulties with thinking

First, find out if the person has any difficulties with thinking skills.

Instruction

Ask: Do you have difficulties with planning and remembering?

  • If the person answers yes, or is not sure, ask all thinking skills questions to understand more about the type of difficulties they experience.
  • If the person answers no, the thinking skills questions do not need to be asked. Continue to vision skills.

Ask, do you have difficulty:

  • planning what you are going to wear?
  • putting clothes on in the right order and the right way?
  • remembering to get dressed?

If the person answers yes to any of these questions, discuss referral for:

  • Other assistive products for thinking skills
  • A rehabilitation service.
