Hearing assistive products
This module introduces hearing assistive products and how to carry out an ear health screen.
Module duration: 2 hours online, followed by supervised practice as needed.
Resources you will need
Otoscope with at least two sizes of speculum, spare battery and bulb
Ear washout kit:
Clean water (boiled and cooled to slightly warm) and container
20 millilitre syringe (no needle)
Kidney dish or other bowl
Tissues, paper towel or towel
Tissues for ear mopping
Bin for disposing used ear wicks
