Personal remote microphone systems

This module teaches primary health and community workers how to provide personal remote microphone systems for people using behind-the-ear hearing aids, using the four service steps.

Module duration: 1 hour online, followed by supervised practice.

Resources you will need

  • Hearing aids with remote microphone receivers
  • Hearing aid batteries
  • Remote microphone transmitters (samples may include clip on, neck loop, tabletop, handheld)
  • Listening tube (stetoclip)
  • Cleaning kit (soft cloth, brush, wire)
